Hello,

I'm looking for ideas for presents for my partners 9 year old daughter. We have been together a year and i've known her for about half of that. She now spends one or two nights with us. He has bought her a big present and i'd like to get her some thoughtful bits but i also don't want to overstep the mark and go overboard too soon!

She's a girlie girl and likes labels, she's at that sort of ''tweenage'' stage.

Any bright ideas wise MN'ers?

I have a 9 year old DD, she is desperately after Posca pens (apparently they are a thing on youtube)

what about some things for her room for when she stays at yours?
Lava Lamp
OODIE

My DD is really into makeup, so we have bought her an illuminated make-up mirror for her bedroom

I've got a neice this age and have some books and Lush bath bombs so far but still looking for inspiration!

My girls are 9, they don’t have make up yet and are not particularly “tween” yet.

They’re getting Polly Pockets
Karaoke microphones
Klutz craft sets
Ohuhu markers
Brainbox games
Cat Crimes
Baking books and baking equipment
Harry Potter books

Posca pens, echo dot, oodie, squishmallows, fairy lights and fake plants for room, bath bombs, hot choc maker

Thanks everybody - I know she likes squishmallows and bath bombs already so these ideas are definitley down the right lines.

Any kind of nice stationery (sparkly Notepads, gel pens, glitter pens etc).

If she likes reading, Tom Fletcher/David Williams books. Also Rob Biddulph has a new one out for that age group:Peanut Jones.

Giant fleecy hoodie:next/primark have them.

Girly handbag

I've got a 9 year old DD, OMG dolls, Harry Potter things, (faux!) oodie, fidgets, echo dot, stationary and art supplies (like sewing projects etc) are the kind of thing mine loves

Spirograph. A vintage one...

My 9yo DD is into: rainbow high dolls, gel pens , those scratch books where you get a wooden stick and you scratch the black parts (iykwim!) , hair accessories, earrings, big hoodies like massively oversized.
Mine has actually asked for sea monkeys (again, we tried them before, they died ha!) so have got both her and DS some and they’ll be from Santa. (Although DS (11) is v sceptical now).

I also get her things for her stocking like electric toothbrush, slipper socks, new jammies etc

My 9yo DD is getting:

Harry Potter Lego
Polaroid 3D pen
Board/card games
Recipe books (she likes baking)
Bath bombs and play make up, bits from Claire’s
Books to read (she likes Jacqueline Wilson, David Walliams etc but the one she was obsessed with this year was ‘Lottie Brooks’ by Katie Kirby)

They want your time and attention at 9 though. Book a special day out at somewhere she would love.

Fake oodie, 3d pen, adult colouring book, fidget toys.
