Ok - tell me what you're getting for your Reception aged daughters for their 'big present'.

Mine is very girly and has asked FC for another dolly! I could just buckle but not sure. What are you getting?

Mine has a wooden toy shop for her main she was 5 in October!

Fallagain · 04/12/2021 08:06

Not reception aged but young yr1.
Gifts from us and family include bike, doll, new pram, doll accessories, playmobil fairy set, orchard game, usbourne fairy sticker book.

Lego have a lovely disney princess book, its a toy rather than a book.

IamChipmunk · 04/12/2021 08:12

Mine is 5 but also loves traditional girls stuff! She has several baby annabel type dolls so I would get another if thats what she wants unless you have loads. (We have about 7 now so at our limit here! We hav a big annabel, big babyborn, smaller annabel, squshy annabel from her first xmas and then some small randoms!) As they are one of her favourite toys.
Does she has pram, crib, high chair, potty, outfits etc for them?
My dd has asked for a baby car seat this year. I got her the john lewis one as its a nicer colour than the actual baby annabel/baby born one.
She is also getting the baby annabel lunch table from Fil. It will fit all her similar sized dolls i think.

My 4 year old is getting a watch, an interactive globe and a mermaid Barbie.

She just had a birthday and her favourite present seems to be a Playmobil set.

Fivemoreminutes1 · 04/12/2021 08:36

Trampoline

guiseppe · 04/12/2021 08:37

Mine 4 year old is getting
A blippi character toy (send me strength)
Lego friends set
Big Lego bricks set
A watch
Books
A bracelet making set (Melissa and Doug one is lovely)
Snakes and ladders
Ludo
Puzzles
Trainers
Bluee figure ms

(From everyone not just us!)

I'm desperately trying to avoid dolly overloads and barbie type things for as long as possible 😄

Shireslass · 04/12/2021 08:44

In this boat too.
She blows hot and cold with her dolls and I really don't think she will play with another one. I bought her a pram for her birthday- she has taken it out twice!
She loves to play together so I have bought things I can sit down and do with her- lot of craft kits

Hoplop · 04/12/2021 08:50

My 4.5 year old is getting Play Mobil, barbie car, books and puzzles

DockOTheBay · 04/12/2021 09:13

Lego - the friends range has some quite "girly" looking sets if tats a requirement
Playmobil
Craft sets
Polly Pocket
Melissa dn Doug hairdresser dress up

headintheproverbial · 04/12/2021 13:47

We have a fair bit of Lego - Friends and Frozen - so was thinking no to that.

Maybe I'll go with the doll idea since that's what she's asked for. We have Baby Annabel and a few others but she does use them!

Hadn't really thought of Barbie. Was thinking that was older but perhaps not!

Ps thanks for all the ideas!

Out generation dolls are quite popular with this age group at the moment.
I prefer Lottie dolls over barbie.

CottonHeadedNinnyMug · 04/12/2021 16:58

A wooden ice cream shop, a teepee, some books, some cuddly toys.

Clarkey86 · 04/12/2021 17:00

A FurReal tiger thing. It’s not cheap but my dad has chosen it for her - she blinking loves an animatronic teddy!

From us, mostly littler bits then a colour reveal barbie, a KindiKid and a kids digicam from Amazon.

LuluBlakey1 · 04/12/2021 17:04

She likes helping in the garden. FIL has made her a potting table and a platform to stand on, and got her some mini gardening tools, pots and seeds and a bag of compost.

She is also getting a new bike, books, some puzzles and art and craft stuff.

Silversun83 · 04/12/2021 17:29

DD is 5.5 but her main present is an Our Generation doll with pet dog and doll bunk beds!

PivotPivotPivottt · 04/12/2021 17:34

Frozen bike
Frozen castle
Other Frozen stuff
Lots of barbie stuff
Squishmallow
Doll
Board games

My parents have got her a nurse centre thing from Smyths to go with her new doll

headintheproverbial · 04/12/2021 17:40

Ah yes I did spy the next generation dolls recently and thought looked good and lots of accessories to build up.

OP posts:
Goldbar · 04/12/2021 17:40

Mine is getting the kidizoom camera.

lunabitc · 04/12/2021 17:46

Her big present is a Minnie Mouse house that I bought last year in the Disney sale. Other things she's getting are:

Dream fairy doll
Backpack that she wants
Polly pocket
Peter rabbit jack in the box (her choice)
Kindi kids baby
Big soft toy she wanted
Spider man bend and flex
Lol doll
Vtech walkie talkies
Monkey tumbles
Some books

AliceMck · 04/12/2021 18:13

My 4yo is getting mainly barbie, she got a Barbie advent calendar and we’ve got her a Barbie car and play set. She also likes Polly pocket and getting a play set from GPs. She really loves Chelsea I think as she’s the youngest sister and DD is the youngest of 3 girls. She also loves the Barbie movies.

user33323 · 04/12/2021 18:35

Mine much preferred her Baby Born to her Annabelle. More versatile too as you can take it swimming/bath it etc and they don't break like our Annabelle did. All the Annabell accessories you have would fit too.

17caterpillars1mouse · 04/12/2021 19:51

My daughter was in reception last year and her main gift was a Sylvanian family house kitted out with furniture and accessories.

This year she is getting a few Lego friends sets as her main gift and a design a friend doll
