Onesie as a present for nieces and nephews

I have 6 nieces and nephews ranging in age from 9 down to 4. Would onesies plus a selection box make a good present?

I have two kids and one of them loves a onesie, the other one has two but never wears them so I'm a bit unsure as to whether they are generally popular and would make a good gift.

Any thoughts?

I think that would be lovely present.

Yes great present … animal themed ones always worked here

NorthernChinchilla · 03/12/2021 22:02

Yep, we've asked DH's sister to buy one for DD. Perfect Auntie present!

Can't go wrong 😀

Happyface120 · 03/12/2021 22:04

My kids would all love you forever for that!

A good gift. I'm getting my nephews onesies.

Just check the sizes with the parents. My 10yo wears Age 12. 8yo Age 9. (However a few years ago she was a size behind her age)

I think it’s a lovely present.

Definitely!

Yes, that's what I do every year, it's pjs/onesies/loungewear and either a book or bath toy depending on the age of recipient. Always goes down well too, I buy nightwear in Next sale every year too.

DowntonCrabby · 03/12/2021 22:59

I think it’s a great gift, fun for the kids and practical/not plastic shit that will piss off their parents.

APurpleSquirrel · 03/12/2021 23:05

Yep, I got my niece one last year, which she loved & am getting her another this year - both from M&S.

AliceMck · 03/12/2021 23:15

I’d check first. I only say that as they are bulky and they may already have them. All mine have just had new Pudsey and Christmas ones. Any more and I’d be cursing having no room for them. New PJs I’d have no problem with.

Logoplanter · 04/12/2021 06:55

Thanks all for the responses Smile Really helpful.

I’d also check with the parents. DS has had any number of dressing gowns and onesies gifted him and never wants to wear any of them!

Bushkin · 04/12/2021 08:08

Hoodie style ones are much more ‘in’ at the moment so I’d go for those rather than a full on onesie

Lovemusic33 · 04/12/2021 10:13

One of mine wouldn’t wear one. My eldest wears them when we go camping but she prefers her oodie or dressing gown when at home. Neither of mine wear PJ’s, our house is too warm. My mum keeps buying them fluffy pj’s and they just don’t get worn.

I would go for fake oodies, primark and a few other places sell them.
