Hello!

My friend in Aus has just sent dd an ENORMOUS prezzie - we don't normally do the gift thing but I'd quite like to get her something in return - at this late stage it had probably better be from an Aus/Sydney-based website as otherwise it won't get there in time - but Amazon Oz doesn't exist!

Can anyone recommend a good site out there? She's a very 'girly' person who had an extreme Accessorize habit when she lived in the UK, so if that helps at all....

Thank you, MN!

Boomerang books are good, but not really girly or accesorish. Country Road (www.countryroad.com.au - I think) is the posh shop down here and I think they do on line gift vouchers.

Hope it helps.

dymocks.com.au is great for books, but guaranteed delivery for Sydney metro area closed yesterday (you may still be lucky, but they won't guarantee).

Err, girly..... David Jones and Myer are the two biggest department stores and will have the usual Boxing Day sales so gift vouchers are bound to go down well. I'd second Country Road. It's not as sparkly as Monsoon/Accessorise, but its sizing is famously flattering so even the woman who has just delivered hippopotamus-sized twins can say "ooh look, I'm back to size 8 already!"

second dymocks books

gift vouchers for Myer or Dj's would be fab too.

UK Book Depository deliver FREE to Oz, so all of us are using them this Christmas. Just google it and you'll find the website!!

Hope this helps

There are quite a few Australian sellers on Etsy.com too. Not 100% sure if you can search by seller location, but if you think she would enjoy some fab one-off handmade jewellery, that would be the place to start.

Wow, thank you so much!

I have gone with the vouchers for Country Road(looks right up her street!) and, as it's her birthday soon, have bookmarked that jewellery site as it also looks great.

Thanks again - MN is fab!
