Any book recommendations for a 10 year old boy?

I don't know what he's into we usually buy toys but sense he's growing up so what to give a nice fun age appropriate book that he can read over Christmas.

Thanks in advance.

My son (8) is all into the Harry Potter books atm but I have looked at getting him the percy Jackson book set maybe next year. David walliams is a good hit as well x

May be a little young for him but my son loves the christmasaurus books.

The Wizard in my Shed by Simon Farnaby. It's a really funny book. My DC loved and so did I. It's great for any Horrible Histories or fans of Ghosts.
I think there might be a sequel now too.

Comic books?
Amulet -for adventure
Bad Guys - for very funny
Corpse Talk - for funny & historical
Science Comics have all sorts of brilliant topics

The Miracle on Ebenezer Street or The Night I Met Father Christmas

Percy Jackson books are all good fun

Look at Ross MacKenzie's Nowhere Emporium it's brilliant. He has done 3 in the series as well as other books.

Rooftoppers by Katerine Rundell is good too.

Proudboomer · 30/11/2021 16:15

At that age my boys loved the captain underpants books.
Toilet humour seems to be very popular when you are 10.

I agree, anything to do with farting or pooing seems to appeal at that age.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Will have a good browse of these titles at the weekend as I try to blitz getting presents for everyone in one afternoonConfused

Oh Simon Farnby is the guy from Ghosts! I didn't know he wrote children's books.

Who Let the Gods Out series is fab. Very funny, bit of ancient Greek God legend with modern child and a good adventure.
