Got some cute handmade personalised wooden Christmas Eve boxes for the family this year but struggling to find anything to put in it for DH he doesn't drink, doesn't really drink booze or anything other than coffee, so apart from a load of junk food not sure what else to put in - would love some suggestions? Smile

Some big cosy socks, Christmas PJs, some themed bubble bath or shower gel, a book...
Of he's cooking on Christmas day an apron, a santa hat.

Pyjamas, slippers, favourite sweets and snacks?

Christmas edition of the Radio Times!

I thought about doing one for my DH but I felt I would be treating him like a man child. He's my husband not my child and id like to keep it that way.

I don’t know this tradition but it sounds like something for children (/commerce). Maybe give him a jar of posh hot chocolate and a book?

Have you got a coffee machine? What about a couple of bags of really nice coffee beans he hasn’t tried before? And maybe a mug. Not a Christmas themed one but a really nice one he could use all year round.

Other than that, I’d echo pyjamas, slippers, some sweets etc.

Have you done a box for yourself too?

I am sometimes tempted to include DH in these sorts of traditions but then I realise that it wouldn't even occur to him to do one for me as he's not doing it for the kids and so I would either have to do one for myself, or sit there without one on Christmas Eve Hmm

So I always end up just going it for the kids, unless it's something that doesn't seem too cringey to do for myself too!

Thanks everyone think the apron shout and a mug and a few sweets is the way forward !
