Will it crack the wine glasses?

Thanks!

I wondered this last year, and served it in mugs with a cinnamon stick to swizzle. It looked right.

oh, how I love mulled wine..mmmm

a short fat tumbler type glass might be suitable, the sort you could hold with both hands to warm them up. Or those punch mugs, about the size of a tea cup with a handle but made out of glass, not china.

I don't think glass will crack because the mulled wine is only warm, not boiling but cheaper thicker glass probably more suitable than fine expensive glass.

And I would also try to warm the glass a bit before pouring hot liquid in.

Ooooooh, I really fancy of glass of mulled wine now!!!!!!!!

Wine glasses are fine for very warm mulled wine. I suppose if you poured furiously boiling wine into them they might break. And worse, all the alcohol would have evaporated! You could warm the glasses first as an extra precaution.

I have used those short-stemmed half-pint [cross-eyed emoticon] lager glasses before - they were very cheap and thus the glass was quite thick.

Enjoy it whatever you end up serving it in!

mugs are great with mulled wine in as you can warm your hands

EPE is amazing. I was wondering whether you serve mulled wine in glasses or mugs, so did a general Google search ' How to serve mulled wine?', and one of the first answers I got ( after mulled wine recipes), was this one!

It also came up with a Zombie Thread Alert, warning me it was a dead thread.
