So far her list consists of a badge from a weird American podcast that I can't seem to get and a £10 fidget ring.

She is not girly (identifies as asexual🤷🏼‍♀️) so no interest in fashion, although likes quirky t-shirt.

Very geeky and studious, studying science A levels. So something chemistry based?

Doesn't really play xbox much now, likes d&d but has everything she needs.

I am clueless.

Into manga but again, has most of the series/ books.

New scientist subscription? Unbelievably expensive but you can do 6 months i think.

My ds always likes new headphones. Maybe some noise cancelling ones?

Tabletop game of some kind? Pandemic is fun.

The D&D fans I know can never resist another set of dice (from Etsy type sellers), but I don’t know if that’s just them!

Would she enjoy something like an instant printer to print photos from your phone?

Nice notebooks - something like a fountain pen and inks?

doodlejump1980 · 28/11/2021 23:07

A ukulele?

sweetkitty · 28/11/2021 23:08

My 16yo DD sounds very like yours, she’s found a new manga series shes into so wants “merch” from it. Her main present is a new tv for her room. Her other presents are manga figurines and T-shirt’s. Is she into drawing? My DD loves art so art supplies always a hit.

Try the present indicative website for science gifts?

Money, split up into several pretty, wrapped boxes so she can buy what she wants in the January sales. Plus a stocking full of silly/practical bits and pieces to open on Christmas morning.

The whole figure painting thing for dnd is quite cool, but horribly expensive. Not necessarily just for arty people either. Worth investigating as it may be a nice stress reliever ?

SusannaQueen · 28/11/2021 23:12

Last year when 16yr old DD was convinced chemistry was her thing, I bought her a set that models chemical formulae (similar to the attached pic).
This year I've got her an Echo dot as they are reduced this week.
Does your DD have any interest in drawing Manga? As there are numerous instruction books? Or books on how to draw kawaii too?

A commisioned painting of her favourite/ long term dnd character if she has one
Does she have all the source books? There are several: assuming she plays 5th edition if she has the players handbook, dungeon masters guide, and monster manual then there are also Tashas Cauldron of Everything, Volos Guide to Monsters, the new Candlekeep Mysteries book, Fizbans Treasury of Dragons, Xanathars Guide to Everything.

There is the Heroes Feast cookbook which hss dnd themed recipes and lore

There are dnd themed My Little Ponies in a set

There are dnd story books- the most famous ones are by RA Salvatore, The Legend of Drizzt series. There are also other books set in the Forgotten Realms etc

Board games? Tiny Epic Tactics or Tiny Epic Quests are fun and have single player as well as group rules.
Does she have podcasts she follows- if she listens to Critical Role for example then there is merchandise available linked to them.

I like the molecular modelling thing. I might look into the d&d model painting.

Yep, they're on my Christmas list this year! They look pretty cool, I'll have to put them on a high up shelf though otherwise my kids will find a way to play with them.
maofteens · 29/11/2021 02:24

I have a 16 year old. She's not into make up or jewellery or clothes, but she'll get some.
She is getting:
New phone case with funky illustration
Bath bombs
Favourite football team t shirt
Cashmere sweater
Small set of hand lotion in pretty tubes
Cosy winter pjs
Cute socks
Cat studs
And her main present: expensive art pen sets

She has no idea about any of them other than the pens.

SheepDogTed · 29/11/2021 02:36

Would she like a microscope? (I'd love a microscope!)
