Thanks @Carrie76 for the title. Just for everyone’s info - the chat was about tablet size 😁

@torthecatlady

I haven't read the whole thread yet, but Land's End currently have 60% off everything full priced and free delivery.

If you purchased anything in the last 14 days they guarantee the price, so will refund the difference! I cheekily asked the question via their online chat feature earlier today and I am being sent a £4.50 refund.

THANK YOU! £12 coming back to me Grin

For those asking about decathlon
I ordered something delivery last year during lockdown, it unfortunately arrived damaged and they were really really good about finding a replacement. Didn’t quibble it (which they could have as I didn’t notice straight away) or anything.

clpsmum · 29/11/2021 17:01

I'm on the hunt for a goal post for football crazy cousin's son. I don't know where to start, but cheaper the better.

Oneborneverydecade · 29/11/2021 17:05

I'm still catching up so apologies if this has been asked recently but any recommendations for reasonably priced exterior Christmas lights please?

Also sleep headphones?

And a non smart phone option for a 10yo? We want to be able to stay in touch but not give him a smart phone

Thank you

A single goal post is a bit mean Grin But I'm guessing that's not quite what you're getting at! I bought goals from Decathlon in the past.
TinyTroubleMaker · 29/11/2021 18:01

mydeamon haven't seen that one before. I suppose I could have one upstairs, one downstairs Grin though I need to stop spending for this year...

SewVeryLazy · 29/11/2021 18:02

I need to find something that will make my 4yr old super excited at Christmas, as her brother is getting harry potter things that are going to make his day. She hasn't given me any ideas though, so I'm considering either a giant teddy (she loves teddies) maybe a unicorn or a zebra if anyone has seen any?

Or a set of books with little teddies of all the characters. I fancied funnybones, but can't find nice plush skeletons. I don't want to do Julia Donaldson as she has had those books for ages and isn't as into them anymore. Any ideas for this, as I'd probably prefer not to have a giant teddy in the house.

Or any other wow ideas for a 4yr old who has all the normal toys?
Thanks!

BeaLola · 29/11/2021 18:14

SewVeryLazy Jellycat Zebra soft toy is lovely (they also do unicorns) and wont take up too much space

BeaLola · 29/11/2021 18:22

Bloom Boutique online had some lovely discounted jewellery in their Black friday sale which ends today - managed to get secret santa personalisd gift for my £10 budget inc delivery

OneMorePieceofCheese · 29/11/2021 18:27

Just an FYI, my Dairy Milk was delivered damaged and Amazon's returns policy doesn't allow you to return food. Hmm

I had to waste 20 mins on customer service but they refunded it with no requirement to return.

The packaging is too badly damaged to give as a gift - but it will be perfect for meeeeeee!

Kranz78 · 29/11/2021 18:36

hi, can anyone recommend a star projector for a 7 year old, the ones that project stars and planets to bedroom ceiling, please? there's so many on amazon, so would rather have recommendations! thank you :)

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/11/2021 18:36

Gap have 50% off for cyber Monday. I looked filled my basket but don’t need

RainbowPhilosophy · 29/11/2021 18:37

Dorothy Perkins has some things on buy one get one free and 40% off everything else, plus some bits with a higher percentage off that were already on sale.

For small spends use CYBERDPXVCUK for free delivery and an extra 15% off
For £100 spend or more use CMSPENDNSAVE for 20% off

I've just ordered myself a hat and gloves, and 2 more pairs of gloves as gifts for the princely sum of £17.75 delivered. I also went through Quidco for hopefully a little bit back.

PhantomErik · 29/11/2021 18:40

SewVeryLazy you could get a Halloween squishmallow from ebay for about £15 which might work. This is just a screenshot to give you an idea.

How about a dave the cat book with fluffy ginger cat? My daughter loved the sue Hendra books. Or Dr Suess with a cat in the hat Teddy, elephant for Horton hears a hoot, a fox for fox in socks. We loved (still do!) Those books! A giant tiger with the tiger who came to tea book.

Giant Teddy Asda sometimes have them in. Or one of the squishmallows if you can get one? Costco do enormous ones bigger than the current aldi ones! Good as a pillow too, ive bought the aldi ones for my girls.

If she likes cuddly toys how about a puppet theatre and selection of finger/hand puppets. Aldi did have one not sure if they still do. My girls loved their theatre at that age. Ours was from ELC and we had all the sets of fairytale finger puppets with it. Could team with a Boxset of classic fairytales. Maybe some wooden spoons/art supplies to create puppets too if she's arty.

A dressing up box filled with accessories and costumes. (Comes in handy for primary dress up days too if you chuck in a pirate, fairy, superhero, princess dress) we scoured charity shops for fancy hats, glasses, handbags and junk jewellery. Was a huge hit for my girls!
