Christmas bunting

I put birthday bunting up in the kitchen when we have a birthday (I’ll attach a pic) - it’s just come down today as we had 2 November birthdays in quick succession. This bunting is about £1 for 10m in tescos, I’m looking for something a bit more festive but not as crappy looking Grin happy to spend more than £1 but less than £100 - it will be up for a couple of weeks but obviously only one time per year - as it’s in the kitchen it will possibly get a bit greasy (?!) so I’m not sure I want anything fabric.
Anyone seen anything that’s a good length? Because of how I have to string it I do want it in one single length piece rather than several smaller ones.

Would this work

whistlefish.com/products/rose-gold-star-garland-by-ginger-ray-ms194?_pos=47&_sid=eae32f88e&_ss=r

Its 5m long but the thread is so fine I think you could join it pretty invisibly if you needed a 10m length.

I just bought this for my coffee trailer from EBay. It was under £20. I added the bows (tree bows) to make it look more festive. They cost £1.

Look up festive bunting on eBay- there were loads.

That’s really pretty @londonmummy1966 - I’m going to get some for my downstairs bannister!
But I think @Honeyroar has found the winner for the kitchen, great idea with the bows too. I’ll have a look on eBay, didn’t even think of looking there. Thanks to you both Flowers

How lovely. The pic in the snow looks heart warmingly festive, I can picture myself ordering a gingerbread latte from you in my wellies and thermals.

I ordered these garlands from a Fairtrade shop in Hebden Bridge and I love them!

Aw thanks @Imgonnabewarmthiswinter. The snow pic was actually from today. Unfortunately we also had a power cut all weekend so I couldn’t open!! Just my kinda luck! But it looked pretty.

TheChosenTwo · 28/11/2021 17:18

Yes @Honeyroar it does look lovely and inviting! I don’t drink hot drinks myself otherwise I’d be straight over Grin (I always have a bottle of water on me too, I drink water or alcohol!)
Hope you regain power soon, is it Arwen’s fault?

Yes it was.

You’d just have to have cake then!😄

I have no pic but we knitted some Christmas bunting, it is just red and greeen acrylic with some gold thread knitted in and it looks very effective. It is washable so fine for a kitchen.

Nervousseller2020 · 28/11/2021 18:29

If you have kids get them to make traditional paper chains. You can pre buy strips and wouldn't matter if they got greasy
