I'm after inspiration to wrap a pair of shoes to make it look a little nicer than just a box!

What colour themes are you going for this year? I've got some brown Kraft paper and red too that I'm planning to jazz up. Also wanting to bake orange slices in the oven for decoration, has anyone done this and does it look ok?

I haven’t wrapped any yet but great idea for a thread, and I think yours will look very festive, love the orange idea I may try that! I also bought a big Kraft roll last weekend so going to use that mostly with some ribbon etc. that I’ve saved from previous years.
For my young nephews I am planning to wrap boxes I have in hessian (lots left over from DIY table runners for our wedding 4 years ago!) and use that to put their presents in.
My daughter’s birthday is next week (3) and I’ve also made a load of mini stockings from the hessian that I will put some choc in for the party bags. Trying to minimise on plastic waste.
Look forward to seeing some pics!

You could look at the poncetastic thread(s) - I know several people posted lovely examples of their wrapping ideas. I’ve not wrapped anything yet (in fact I’ve not even bought anything yet).

Here are mine: brown Kraft paper and the ribbon corresponds to each family member

@FrankUnderwoodsWife what a clever idea, I hadn't even thought of diffenret coloured ribbons per family member!

I'm doing brown paper and using up all the ribbon that comes with the flower subscription I have. Alas they have just moved to beige ribbon which isn't quite as festive but hey....

These all look super pretty!

JamMakingWannaBe · 14/12/2021 14:57

Oh I love that dark paper @LadyCatStark. Where is that from please?

I have the same paper as @PalmLady. No ribbons though but Kraft paper bows. I use sticker tags so the DC can't rip them off.

I've seen Xmas Kraft paper reduced in Argos so I'm tempted to get some more.

Do people use paper tape too? I bought some cheap stuff and it's just not sticky.

Can I ask if you buy an item that comes in a nice paper bag do you wrap the item still or just leave the item in the bag to give to recipient, it obviously shows the shop/designer it's from though. Obviously I am thinking higher end paper bags and not Primark 😁

I just shove a piece of jazzy tissue paper in the top of the bag!

AnotherOne4 · 14/12/2021 16:13

Wow, you all certainly like ribbon! You must have such patience to do that, lol. Well done Xmas Smile

AdoraBell · 14/12/2021 16:32
