Actually 68 presents means 68 people (well actually more as some presents are for mummy & daddy)

Now I am starting to panic

OP posts:
Katymac · 15/12/2007 23:17

& there won't be enough food

& there won't be enough wine

Oh hell

it will be fine. I panic every time I have a Brownie party. Tis always fine. Get adults to hand out food, and they can say "No Jimmy 2 sausages and not 53". You will have loads left over, I always end up overcatering.

CremolaFirCone · 15/12/2007 23:27

katy it will be fine.for a start what are the chances of everyone turning up? At least a few people will have the flu.tesco will have something for your dh.
cd dvd ipod download lottery tickets or even a side of smoked salmon.
it will be fine

Katymac · 15/12/2007 23:30

CremolaFirCone · 16/12/2007 10:19

KATYMAC how are you this morning?
deep breaths
deep breaths

Katymac · 16/12/2007 10:33

Sausages cooked
Tomatoes washed
Cucumber chopped
Carrots chopped
Grapes halved
Fairy cakes made
Gingerbread men half iced (DD's job & she is flagging)
Crisps & Biscuits packed along with bowls

Sandwiches to make

As Gingerbread men are iced can I just dust fairy cakes with icing sugar - they are chocolate?

Got to find the tablecloths
Got to pack car

Had 1 cancellation (2 children)

What else?

OP posts:
systemsaddict · 16/12/2007 10:37

if necessary you don't even have to ice fairy cakes at all! sounds fantastic and you are an inspiration, I can't cope with inviting 2 people over for New Years! hope it all goes well

Katymac · 16/12/2007 10:40

At least the food is dead easy

It's socialising that floors me

OP posts:
CremolaFirCone · 16/12/2007 10:57

katy - a dust of icinf sugarwill do the choc fairy cakes- will look like snow.
sounds like you will be busy enough never mind socialising.accept all help offered!

Katymac · 16/12/2007 16:57

All done & dusted

Party over

Nap time soon

For DH? Yes my mum went & bought him a CD

For me? Yes my mum bought me a box of Ferrero Rocher (which I hate) but I needed the box to put my new glasses in - because of a new type of lens I managed to get 3 pairs of glasses for the price of one pair (paid for by health ins) & I needed a box to put them in
