Just a tip for people saying about films disappearing from Netflix etc. If you have a smart TV with a USB port, you can get an external hard drive and record "normal tele". We got one 3 years ago and have recorded loads of films that are on over the Christmas period each year. Obviously you get the inconvenience of having to ff through adverts etc. but even with Prime, Netflix, Now TV and Disney +, ours still get used quite a bit.

@mypatronusisapenguin we had a similar situation a couple of years ago, but sadly all Santa's elves had already been allocated to houses. Instead he sent one of his woodland animals (with a letter explaining) to stay with Dd for December, a small artic fox that loved cuddles. She adored him, and he her, so he ended up staying. It was so much easier having just the one elf (hers wasn't naughty he just used to play hide and seek) and she didn't feel left out, she felt very special to be the chosen one! Might be an option if you're stuck. Failing that Jellycat have some nice Christmas elves.
