Secret Santa ideas

Help! Can anyone offer some ideas for a secret Santa please. It will be the type where each person brings a wrapped gift to go in a sack to be drawn at random, rather than buying for a named person.

Budget £10
All women, age range 40-70+
Some of the people participating aren't known to me so I don't know their likes / dislikes / allergies / dietary requirements etc.

Hotel Chocolat do some lovely secret santa gifts:

Otherwise I've always appreciated a pair of gloves since I lose them all the time.

China mug with tea or coffee bags inside.

Bath bomb.

Bottle of Prosecco.

Candle.

Following for inspiration!

So far I have a mug and hot chocolate, Sipsmiths gin taster box or a noveltea Christmas edition mini bottle as ideas but I'm doubting myself as to whether they're any good or not.

Secret Santa is always the most stressful present to buy every year, I find.

Candle
Gloves
Scarf
Notebook and pen
Oil burner and wax melts
Cook book
Chocolates
Wine

Remember people might swap gifts between them if someone is allergic or doesn’t drink etc.

There’s some good bits here in the sale, this is where I’m going for my SS once I find out who it is!

Fluffy socks - Joules do nice ones and you can find them reduced on their outlet site or clearance section of the website.

Last year I got some joules socks for £6.50 and then a bar of Tony's Chocolonely gingerbread and it went down welll

Scratch cards.
A mixture of beauty / skin care / hair care / perfume samples / travel sized bottles in a nice mug.

Love the idea of the travel sizes in a mug - be a bit careful of scratchcards though OP unless you know all of the women already gamble. My family don't gamble for religious reasons and scratchies can be a hook for people who can't control a habit (eg psychological tricks like winning another free scratchcard) .
AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 23/11/2021 14:00

Good point. I had forgotten it was Secret Santa rather than people the OP already knows.

SpookyScarySkeletons · 23/11/2021 14:06

We have used a website where you can make a wish list this year. Haven't decided yet if it's taking the fun out of it or taking the stress out of it!!

Hotel chocolate is always a good shout, Prosecco, funny mug with reference to the department/company type thing? Ringtons do some gorgeous biscuit hampers too.

CMac79 · 24/11/2021 14:04

I reckon you can't go wrong with a cooking gift - like these. They're only £10.36 each if you sign up for the festive discount code before Monday 29th

I was just on another post about this actually, as I need to get a female 40s a secret Santa too.
Someone suggested some posh bath salts from www.inbloomandco.com which I've looked at I'm going to order. They look really beautiful and luxurious.
Will do it tonight when kids are in bed as want to get a few more bits from there too. They have 20% off but not sure when til

fortywinkswouldbenice · 25/11/2021 17:07

@thefutureisfranny I follow In Bloom & Co too! I think she said 20% sale ends Sunday.
Im going to order the candle set from there for my sister, as she commented on mine last time she was round.

My secret Santa she is really smutty so im going to get her a rude mug I think 😅
Or maybe I should get her something nice and get those bath salts instead
