Hotel vouchers

I’d really like to get a family member a break! Are hotel vouchers a thing?
(Not Mr & Mrs Smith - those hotels are so expensive. I got a voucher from there a couple of years ago and it didn’t pay for one room!).

Absolutely not the “2 night deluxe break” from Buyagift that we received a few years ago. The only hotels you can use it on are below even a Travelodge in standard. Anything decent needs at least a £200 extra contribution. Needless to say it never got used
