Vegan silk pillowcases

Has anyone used a silk pillowcase and is it worth trying? Possible extra present for vegan DIL, for whom silk is unacceptable.
Are the vegan satin ones any good? Also not costing £30 plus as I need two.

I think this is a no go for a vegan tbh. I love my silk pillowcase but I imagine a satin one would be synthetic and sweaty, which kind of defies the point.

The bamboo sateen and cotton satin do both work similar to silk. However they do use a lot of chemicals in the manufacturing, which then goes as waste and the chemical waste includes microplastics. So a lot of vegans won't buy them if they are into a ethical lifestyle, rather than just not eating meat. These are vegan products that are very planet/environment unfriendly. Considering that the benefits are purely cosmetic, if you are into sustainability and the environment, you wouldn't want one.

I have just checked with DS and it turns out DIL already has one and DS does not like it, as Jackie says, because he finds the texture unpleasant.
