Can anyone help

My friends looking for a tablet for her 10 year old ds

She wants to spend £100-120 and ideally from currys or Argos

It's mainly for apps like Netflix, YouTube

They do have a family computer for word etc

I'm not sure what to recommend as we usually go for iPads which is over her budget

I wondered about the Lenovo m10 or samsung galaxy tab a7

I had the same quandary between those two. In the end decided the Galaxy Tab A had better reviews/specs so I'd recommend going for that! Saw a few reviews of the levono getting laggy after a while.

What about the fire in the black Friday sale

GiltEdges · 21/11/2021 08:19

With that kind of budget I'd go for an Amazon Fire tablet. Probably won't stretch to the latest one, but I've had a few of them now and they're generally very good.

I would suggest the kindle fire as well, Amazon have them pretty cheap at the minute.
The Fire HD 10 plus is usually £189 and it's currently down to £119.

That's a really good price for that tablet!

LENOVO Tab M10 10.1" Tablet

Justme10 · 21/11/2021 08:27

Ah I forgot about the app but he could still use YouTube on it.

Im a fire tablet user so I wouldn't really know what else to suggest apart from shopping around this week with the sales on, she will definitely be able to get something for a good price.

The new Fire tab does have the YouTube app. I know because I bought one for my mum last month and had to download it...

Would the amazon ones work for a family who don't have prime though?

Yeah they will just need to set up a standard Amazon account if they don't already have one and then they will be able to download Netflix, iPlayer, Disney+ etc.
Use the internet, download games and listen to music.
Also read books if they would be interested in that.
