I dragged a branch home, what do I do with it?!

While taking the dog for a walk the other day, I spotted a fallen branch which I decided would be perfect for the ‘hanging from the ceiling with baubles on’ thing that I’ve seen.

But I’m not crafty and have no idea what to do with it!
I’ve googled, but a lot of the instructions seem to be for people who know what they are doing and not…me.

Has anyone made one? How did you do it? How do I clean the algae off it?!😬

I ended up cutting my precious branch in half so I have one in the kitchen and one in the living room.
The living room one is done, little bit plain and boring but goes with my plain room
The kitchen one is still waiting for me to get some clear wire, I have a pink wreath for it and I’m on the lookout for some fancy baubles.That one is going to be a bit more full on, with fairy lights too!

I did it lastvyear, going to do something like it again this year, planning on going foraging in the woods next weekend. I've just hung it on picture hooks on the wall.

This is mine. I just spray painted it white and hung it using picture wire

@Araisaris The smaller ones are from Tesco, and the big one is from Dobbies. They all light up, and the Tesco ones come with the batteries included as well

I dragged branches home to suspend in the kitchen and hang do dad's from. However I never actually did it and I think one branch is in the back, and the rest used as kindling. I love the look though, enjoy it.

I would just wrap fairy lights along the length of it and lean it, artfully, in a corner of a room.

I would love to do this, unfortuantely my dog think every branch I pick up is his and he would, LOL.

These look great! I'm so excited to start my branch. We are doing the Christmas tree on Monday so think I will get it up then or on Tuesday!
