What are you getting your DF?

Looking for inspiration! My DF is notoriously hard to buy for, and doesn't really want/need much.

I plan to get him a nice jumper and make a calendar with family photos (these are gifts I get him every year) and will take him to an escape room with DD as he wants to try one. But I need more ideas. He is single and doesn't get anything from anyone else except me and DD so we like to give him a few different things from both of us.

So, what are you getting your DF, big or small?

No idea yet, but following. My dad buys everything he wants to not sure, maybe some nice clothes, I'm hoping to go to a designer outlet place so I hope I will find something nice Smile

I'm buying my dad a smart watch. We bought him a FitBit last year but the screen was too small for him so he gave it to my brother. They're both keen runners. There's one on Amazon by work mum has, who also has terrible sight, and her favourite thing about the watch is that she can see the time without her glasses on Grin

It's about £30 on Amazon, and I know he'll be thrilled with it.

An Old Guys Rule hoodie, a Game of Thrones Tyrion wine glass (big fan), a nice bottle of wine to fill it with and a new pair of walking boots.

Looking for inspiration too as I’ve got his birthday and Christmas coming up! So far I’ve bought him Bill Bailey’s guide to British birds after a recommendation on one of these threads, and a Metalbird. He does love birds!

He appreciates a nice bottle of brandy or whisky so that’s always an easy option.

He likes anything to do with nature, golf and trains but I feel like all affordable gift options have been exhausted over the years!

I got mine a Fitbit a couple of years ago and he hasn't used it!

My DP is 65 so could be a similar age to your dad.
iPad case. Whisky, Clarins aftershave balm. Taylor’s of Bond Street shaving brush and cream. A wooden pen made from a whisky barrel. Pedometer, he won’t wear a Fitbit but wants to track his steps. Hotel Chocolat strawberry cheesecake batons. Jelly Belly beans. Two different types of shower steamers. L’occitane lavender soaps. Colour change for cones for the stove. Christmas ale. Thinking about the Bill Bailey bird book having seen it recommended on here.

That should say colour change fir cones

Electric throw (he is ill and spends a lot of time sitting and gets cold) and some slippers
Boring!

Thanks for the ideas - love the colour changing pine cones and shower steamers Smile

I wish he enjoyed whiskey, that would be dead easy. But he only likes beer and buys in bulk from his fave brewery! And I got him an electric shaver last year. Lucky he's got a sweet tooth so I can get a good choc and sweet selection

I always get mine a jumper, and some books.
I don't think he has ever bought a jumper of his own!

My dad's getting one of these:

He's a big gardening dork and will LOVE watching it develop Grin
