Shes 7 but an old head.
A bit gender neutral, unlike her 6yr old sister. So nothing pink and princessy.
Adores animals, rides horses, had fish that were a pain in the arse (in fairness she did a great job with them but we are just too busy)
Very sporty, we have a trampoline and she has a bike and a scooter
No screens allowed as a gift, that would be her first choice but we are trying to avoid for now as she is very addictive with stuff like this

Really stuck for ideas to plant in her head!

Lego do a fish tank :-). But Lego generally is a good option. Lego Vidyo and Mario have some ‘screen appeal’ cross over. My dd wanted and got a skateboard at that age. Art materials? Robo puppy? I think we also got DD a constellations projector when she was 8 & it got a lot of use.

Roller blades or a skateboard
Camera
Hype hoodie
Slime kit
Tie dye kits with white T-shirts
Acrylic paint pens - these are great for decorating stones and glasses (my DD has designed endless used Nutella jars with those pens!)
Other craft sets - maybe friendship bracelets?
Books

Penny board - bit smaller than a skateboard.
If she likes swimming then diving sticks or a childrens flippers - DD likes wearing them for fun at our pool.
Sponsor/adopt an animal?
The old “pig in the paddock” “hamster in the hallway” book about twins who live on a farm
Gardening kit

A board game maybe?
Eatsleepdoodle or Illuminated Apparel pillowcase
Nice blanket and cushion for bed (Dunelm)
Oodie type thing

Following! Is she into singing? I'm getting dd a microphone dj thing, but have no clue what else. She had crafty things for bday.

Silversun83 · 19/11/2021 09:32

Does she like small world play? Does she have any Schleich horse stable type sets?

Stompythedinosaur · 19/11/2021 10:11

Something crafty like polymer clay a tie dye set or slime set?

Lego was very popular with my dds - particularly harry potter lego, though that probably depends on her interests. Lego dots can be good, I've just ordered the lego dots creator set for my dc.

Gravitrax is good, we also like various bits of spy kit (decoders, walkie talkies, traps, spy glasses) and also magic or practical joke sets.

My dc enjoy skateboarding and hoverkarts, but I think they might have been a little older than 7 when they started.

DD has just turned 9, she loves anything arty/ crafty. Also those black scratch picture books, iykwim! They come with a little wooden pencil thing and you scratch the black coating off and there’s a picture underneath. Got a couple in Lidl the other week for Xmas gifts.

Also, random but she’s put sea monkeys on her Amazon wish list, only a tenner and v low commitment/ upkeep and they’re actually really cool to watch. In fact might get them for my DS who is 11 as well!
