Great felt tipped pens- not huge price

I’m looking for a set of pens for dd that has a large range of colours and shades but also lasts well but not like sharpie type markers. I’m thinking of the huge sets I used to get as a child with a whole rainbow of colours. I’ve seen some (possibly called posco) but were very expensive which is fine but out of my budget for these. Any suggestions please.

How old is DD? The crayola supertips are the best quality for children and are usually on offer somewhere. They do fine liners as well but for some reason they are miles more expensive.

Bic felt tips aren’t bad either for cheaper fine liners.

She’s 12. I was looking for a greater range of shades/ colours than the crayola or Giotto ones appear to have- in a set of at least 30 different colours

If you can stretch to a set of ProMarkers, they are wonderful to draw and colour with! They blend and layer really nicely too, so you probably won’t need as big a set as you think :)
Here’s an Amazon link, though I have seen these (and other alcohol based markers) on sale in TK Maxx on occasion.

Crayola do sets of up to 100 but not really suitable for a 12 year old. What about anime style blendable markers? Lots available at different price points. This sort of thing. www.amazon.co.uk/Ohuhu-48-color-Alcohol-based-Coloring-Illustration/dp/B08NX21MXJ/ref=sr_1_102?rnid=419152031&keywords=Manga+Markers&rps=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1637185644&refinements=p_76%3A419158031%2Cp_72%3A419153031&sr=8-102

Posca pens (I think) are actually acrylic paint markers with an eyewatering pricetag. I know because my dd picked up some in a shop and my dh nearly crapped himself Grin

I was about to say the same! Posca pens are crazy prices!

I’m sure WH Smith would sell what you’re looking for.

posted on a similar thread yesterday. We love the Ohuhu brand from Amazon. They last really well, dual tipped, loads of colours.

They are a dupe of Copic Markers (super expensive brand from Japan).

The only set of felt pens we had that lasted were Crayola brand. DD got a 30 pen set when she was 7, she is 14 now and most of them are still going. All other brands never lasted more than a year.

How much are you looking to spend? I have a set of TriPlus ones but they come in a maximum of a set of 20.

I also have the odd one or two of Stabilo and they have lasted really well.

I think for "grownups" they call them "fibre tip pens".

Temporarily sold out online but the shops themselves still have them.

I use stabilo point 88 - I do mandala colouring every now and again to relax - something about colouring in between fine lines - I usually buy on offer from Amazon
