Do one good deed a day for Christmas

Please can we all do one good deed for Christmas.

Today I took my supermarket trolley back to the rack. I saw a lady and presume her son and said would your son like to take my trolley back and he can keep the pound towards Christmas. He beamed at me. Made me think one small gesture a day could make somebody's else's day.

Love this. I paid for a teenagers bottle of water who didn't have enough money at the supermarket today! That's my good deed done! Only small but it made a difference to her I hope!

it's a good sentiment.
but i've always been slightly puzzled by the phrase, do a good every day.
what, just the one. for most decent honest people, isn't most of their lives full of good deeds. if not, what then. ? evil deeds.
maybe i'm not understanding it properly.

both of the above are examples of, pay it forward.
now that i can understand, and i think it's a good idea.
