Hello, so I am one of them awkward people who has their birthday on Christmas Day so when it comes to Christmas time I really struggle on what to ask for. I really would like some cook books this year but I'm not sure which ones are good? Please can you give suggestions!

Thank you !!

Depends what sort of food you like and how experienced a cook you are? And what books you have already.

I’m sure lots of people can give recommendations but we need a bit more to go on.

I like any of Mary Berry’s (I’ve got a few)
Delia’s are pretty foolproof too.

I loooove Diana Henry's. Bird in the hand is especially good

I like all sorts of food, don't have any cook books only have an old hairy bikers veggie cookbook I didn't get on with and I am also not a veggie.

My cooking skills are quite good, I wouldn't say I am a professional by any means though! Smile

The Mary Berry ones I use a lot are
Mary Berry Quick Cooking
M. B. Everyday
M.B. Foolproof Cooking

Gino’s Pasta is also a good one. And Jamie Oliver 7 ways is great for simple tasty recipes that don’t have loads of ingredients.

Recently I’ve bought the new Mob Kitchen one and the Roasting Tin Around The World and really rate them both

Big fan of Ottolenghi - he’s got a new one out called OTK Shelf Love, but Flavour is my favourite, although a lot of people love Simple.

A few of our easy staple dishes are from Mary Berry’s Simple Comforts. Cauliflower cheese salmon, sausage casserole etc
