How do you make it special for your kids and family?

So, I got my work schedule for December, and I'll be working from 20th December till 29th December without free day. I'm lucky I'll be able to work from home those three most important days (no long commute, yeah), but the job is like that I won't be able to move from my computer full 8 hours.

I'm in the middle of planning how to make it easy and to have a little bit of christmas. I must say, it feels like planning a military operation.

So far I have:

  1. Wash and iron everything by 23th December, so no washing and ironing for next three days.
  1. No christmas lunch (my husband and kids are going to get it at grandma's while I work, they live very close), just party food and finish everything day before. Unfortunately in my country we do not have something wonderful like waitrose and Marks & Spencer to buy food I can just stick in the oven. There are some things, but not very nice.

What else? Please help.

Cook up treats and freeze before the work block starts.
Set aside treats for Christmas Eve, day and Boxing Day.
Allocate family time, be it watching the DC play with their gifts one day, movie night another day and board games another.
Make sure you change from work clothes to Christmas clothes, even if it means just changing your jumper or getting into PJ’s for movie night.
Everyone helps clean up every night so one person is not left with the lit.
