I love cooking and hosting and it's our turn this year (6 adults 2 DC) but the thought of ordering the whole lot from Cook is strangely appealing.

Can anyone comment ok their stuff / quality / cooking instructions / portion sizes etc?

I did this one year when DC was young. I’ve been thinking about doing it again this year, as it made my life so much easier. It takes away all the meal prep but you do still need to be aware of timings. Sadly it doesn’t all go in and out of the oven at the same time but really that’s not much effort. The cooking instructions are perfectly clear.

It was delicious because it’s effectively ‘home cooked’ food, frozen. Not processed rubbish. Portion sizes were perfect but I don’t recall there being leftovers (so depends on how much you want to eat).

Word of warning: make sure you have enough space in your freezer/fridge. I managed but as my freezer and fridge were both stacked with other Xmas food (Boxing Day buffet) it was a squeeze. I have an extra empty freezer now. On that note I’ve decided to definitely do it. Off to place my order now Smile

We've done this last few years and are doing again this year.

Was bliss, picked it up frozen on 23/12 so meat could defrost at room temp/fridge as we don't have a freezer that could fit it all in.

I wouldn't get all the veg from there, it's all cooked with butter/oil and bits and made for a really rich dinner. I prefer having plain boiled carrots/sprouts.

We only have a top oven/grill and halogen oven so not much space, as it all comes in rectangular foil you can fit much more in- both in freezer and oven.

Until we get our galley kitchen sorted (so narrow that if the dishwasher is open you can't fit past) I will be doing this, it's about £100 for all is us including pudding, about what I'd pay to get and cook it all myself.
