So many people talk about having to get excited kids to sleep so they can do the wrapping.

Why leave it til then? Confused

No, don't pay your own kids! Pay a neighbour's or something, a uni student bored at home etc. Here's €20 and 30 gifts, off you go.

But it's irrelefant*, because I use fabric bags and it takes half an hour tops.

I have always wrapped DD's presents on Christmas Eve as I take everything to my parents to store as they have mor room, and then spend one Saturday in December wrapping all presents except DD's as DD helps me.

Then on Christmas Eve we stay there, so once DD is in bed, I wrap her presents and put her stocking together. It means that there is somebody else there to stop her coming into the kitchen where I wrap on the large table, as she has to walk through the living room first.

At home, as its just the 2 of us, if I wrap at home there is nobody to stop her coming into the room and I would not have time to hide anything as it would be all over the floor. I can't wrap while she is at school as I work full time long hours.

Innocents /newbies /rookies??

We did it once, struggling at 11 pma to get into a tight loft hatch to retrieve naked gifts, rustling, coughing, banging, then a tense marathons of wrapping which came to an end at about 2am.
Never. Ever. Again.
Wrap as go and hide in plain site.

Another reason I do it in advance is in case of illness, and shortages so Xmas can still "happen"!!
