Harry potter books (not the story ones)

My sons going through the book series, he's watched the movies so not worried about spoilers. I'm thinking of getting him a book for Xmas along the lines like the marauders map that comes with a wand or the scrapbook ones based on creatures / hogwarts/ spells / diagon alley etc.

I was just wondering if anyone's kids have enjoyed any particular ones or what you would recommend. Many thanks.

My DS really enjoyed the quidditch through the ages book. He’s also got the marauders map with the wand but wasn’t a huge fan of it, he’s loved the scratch magic books though, ending up buying him all of those!

Dd has requested the Harry Potter baking book for Christmas

We have The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Lots of fun little magical stories, including the Tale of the Three Brothers that is read in the movie/book

There are Hogwarts and Diagon Alley pop up books that are amazing
The Art of Harry Potter is great too and there's also a Film To Screen book

I also have all of the illustrated versions of the books too which are great for collecting/reading.

DS has Tales of Beedle the Bard, Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. He likes Fantastic Beasts best (I got a beautiful illustrated hardback), I like Beedle the Bard best.

He has the wand and Riddles diary too (the same as the marauders map, but a different cover), but it's a very different item; I far prefer the above, as does DS.

(Fantastic Beasts as in the textbook mentioned in the HP books, ot the later spin offs.)

I bought DD the scratch and sniff book for her birthday and she loves it!

My DS keeps looking at this - it does look beautifully presented but I think that might be a bit lost on him 😅

My dd has a gorgeous big hardback called ‘page to screen’. It’s amazing if he likes the films too. Very detailed and loads of photos and sketches.
Dd would pour over it for hours during her Harry Potter phase!
