I've asked my mum for the mugler goddess alien perfume, a yoga spa set thing, and a poirot box set lol. From my OH I've asked him for some dvds, cds, Charlotte tilbury makeup, urban decay makeup, gin glasses and a fancy silk robe kind of thing.

I've bought my mum a hygge style puzzle set, Laura Ashley set from boots, books from the works and no 7 makeup, chocs and gin.

For my sister I've bought her a harry potter fleece blanket, new look voucher and benefit makeup.

Student DS (21)

Not a clue really - maybe some new gaming headphones as a main gift.
PJs
New pants
booze -gin/beer/cider
sweets

Student DS (20)
Some clothes including pants and socks
PJs
booze - cider
sweets
A new fleecy hoody thing as his flat is freezing
Main gift - no idea really, thinking maybe one of those air fryers for the flat? He does most of the cooking, he's not that skilled but is the better of the two of them. I tried to teach him more at home but he's dyspraxic and has hyper mobile joints and I couldn't look when he was cutting stuff up.

Student girlfriend of DS2 (19)
Fleecy hoody thing (flat freezing)
Some fancy socks
Peach schnapps
some sweets
either PJs or toiletries. I'm rubbish at girls gifts. She's studying English so I did think about maybe one of those nicely bound classics but not sure which book.

DS( 22)
Usually money . Last year he got a Fender Stratocaster +amp for his Birthday/Christmas combined
He's whittering about a new Acoustic
And driving lessons but that's not a "present" it;s something we'd do anyway .

They both get Dec 1st Hampers ( pyjamas, loungewear, underwear, sweets )

HelplesslyHoping · 11/11/2021 22:20

My adult nieces are getting hampers of candles, makeup, lush products, books, jewellery and some lovely PJs from Lily Silk

My cousins (18&19) are moving to their first home in early January so I've bought them new bedding and some prints they've picked out as well as an Oliver Bonas aroma diffuser, a coffee machine, cushions from Home Sense and some little bits like mugs, cleaning supplies and essentials for a little new home basket.

Oliver Bonas website has some great stocking fillers that might inspire you for DD19.

supremelybaffled · 11/11/2021 22:31

DD (22) - a Kindle & Doc Martens - both asked for, a Himalayan salt lamp, a reed diffuser

DSS (24) - no idea yet

Booze seems to be a theme!
ElephantOfRisk · 11/11/2021 22:46

ha ha, well yes. To be fair none of us are big drinkers but it's something bulky for under the tree and means not really buying anything in for Christmas and new Year (or for months afterwards!) We've tended to more consumables (or replacing things that are worn out) recently as we all pretty much have what we want and need. The boys will end up with some money unless they come up with any ideas in the next few weeks.

dunkaccino · 11/11/2021 23:41

I get mine to do a letter to Santa, same as they have since they were about 2. It's great because it usually has website & price information included now too!

Pippi1970 · 12/11/2021 07:08

@ElephantOfRisk how about a lovely journal instead of a book? I know my older dds love a beautiful notebook in fact I must add that to the list!

Reed diffuser! Another addition, thanks. Just need to find a reasonably priced one. I like the M and S ones personally

@HelplesslyHoping Oliver Bonas is a great shout thank you. We went into the shop last year and Dd1 said she loved everything in there.

Smoothie maker
Simple Human Mirror

It is for Christmas and Birthday though

mumonthehill · 12/11/2021 12:52

Keep sending ds21 messages to tell me what he wants, but apparently he is too busy!! I am resisting the urge to have a toddler strop at him where I just yell at him, busy, you think you are busy, have you ever tried organising Christmas?!!! So it looks like cash this year…..

They have very reasonable delivery fees and click and collect is available if you can't find what you like in store. Anthropologie is popular with her age too

AdoraBell · 12/11/2021 12:53

DD2, difficult to buy for, perfume of her choice and Clarins hand cream.
DD1, handbag she chose, silk pillow case and make up brush cleaner.

peachescariad · 12/11/2021 12:54

DD 19
faux fur jacket - Missguided
Car stuff
Silver necklace
Levi T-shirt
Baguette bags - Shein
Royal Ballet tickets - main pressie

Auntieobem · 12/11/2021 13:03

I have absolutely no idea what to get dd 18. She doesn't wear make-up or drink. She's just had jewellery, bag, trainers for her birthday. Says she doesn't need anything.

Have bought her a surprise concert ticket though...

uncomfortablydumb53 · 12/11/2021 13:04

ElephantOfRisk · 12/11/2021 13:12

What airfryer have you gone for @uncomfortablydumb53?

Thanks! I've only just started looking and it's not something we have ourselves. It would be for DS who is studying away from home. I thought this might be more economical to run than the main oven, but then at least the oven heats the room a bit too. Also don't want to encourage him any more to eat unhealthily but I'm not sure there will be much difference from him putting chicken nuggets and chips in the oven and using this to be fair Grin

uncomfortablydumb53 · 12/11/2021 14:10

Exactly the same position here DS2 is at Uni
They've come down in price this week and Nectar points with Argos too
