I'm meeting my cousin for lunch in London. Has anyone got any suggestions as to where to eat. Nothing too expensive.

Any particular area?

Try the Shard

Granary Square Brasserie in Coal Drops Yard is nice, as is Dishoom (also In Coal Drops).

Depends on budget, what type of food, what area etc. Brasserie Zedel is good.and v reasonable, Brasserie of Light is fun and sparkly, there are lots of cheaper places in Kingly Court off Carnaby St (pizza, noodles, posh kebabs) and it will all be lit up with fairy lights so be nice and festive.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I'm vegetarian and I love Tibits in Heddon Street just off Regent Street. You choose from a buffet and weigh your plate to pay - lots of really delicious things

Last night we were at Balthazar in Covent Garden - I enjoy the food but I find it a bit noisy (music slightly too loud so everyone talks over it)

Need more info about area and budget/tastes.

'Try the Shard' seems odd advice to somebody who doesn't want anything too expensive.

Zedel is fun and can be very cheap if you don't have many drinks.

What sort of price per head are you thinking?

Do not try the Shard if you don’t want anything too expensive!! If you’re in Central London then Carnaby Street is very Christmassy and there’s an abundance of restaurants in Kingly Court.
Otherwise Covent Garden for the Christmas vibe where I’d recommend Dishoom, Flat Iron or Bancone for very good decently priced food
