...as she's out of the country for Christmas and I'm sure she's leaving next week. It has to get to her before she goes.

What to get a 17 year old who has everything?

Online?

Today?

Argh!

Can you get her a gift voucher/gift card for wherever she likes to shop eg next or somw place like that?

cleaninglady · 13/12/2007 12:52

you could get an on line voucher for amazon and send her the code in a xmas card - its saved me from many an embarrassement at forgetting birthdays till the last minute

Peachy · 13/12/2007 12:55

napster / amazon vouchers or lush imo.

SevenSwansASlouching · 13/12/2007 12:56

itunes vouchers to top up her mp3 for the flights. Can get them in supermarkets if that helps, or loads on line.

BroccoliSpears · 13/12/2007 13:00

Vouchers would save my bacon at this late stage, but I don't think vouchers would do. She has so much pocket money that some more to spend wouldn't really be a treat. No, it has to be an amazing, thoughtful, unusual, special gift. Something cute or girly or funky or techy or... something! £30 upper limit.

Argh!

Right. I'm thinking smellies.

The White Company?

Crabtree & Evelyn?

Where's luxurious but a bit less granny?

Peachysachristmaspudding · 13/12/2007 13:13

NOT crabtree and evelyn at her age!

white company perhaps- I still say Lush for that age group

BroccoliSpears · 13/12/2007 13:18

I'm on John Lewis. They have funky stuff. Burt's Bees? Molton Brown? Lush is my fave by far far far far far but a bit too ethical and not quite glam enough for her.

try www.perfectlygorgeous.com for handmade jewellery. Some lovely, funky stuff. Bit different.

Sparkletastic · 13/12/2007 13:20

How about something from SpaceNK? Usually v efficient and comes in lovely packaging.

BroccoliSpears · 13/12/2007 13:22

Fab link Betty. Thank you. Those bracelets are gorgeous. And I want a notebook.

Phew. Delighted to say that SIL's prez is on her way to her. Thanks all for help and suggestions. Have bookmarked both those jewelery sites - gorgeous stuff.

bigfatbump · 14/12/2007 13:18

What did you get her?

BroccoliSpears · 14/12/2007 14:37

Well, don't laugh, but we got her a dvd about some hairy French rugby player, and a Rugby World Cup book. Umm... she'll love them, honest!
