How to stop them buying the gift! (As I’ve bought him it)

I have managed to get my husband an awesome gift for Christmas. Something I know he desperately wants.

However. Can you all give me some ideas to tactfully discourage him from buying it as I want to keep the fact I have bought it as a surprise!!?

I have this battle every year with my husband. I just now say outright, you don’t know what’s coming at Christmas or it’s too close to Christmas, let’s wait a bit.
