Gift £10-15 for a nearly 16 yo girl

I want to get our babysitter a Christmas gift that isn't money or a voucher as obviously we pay her money already so it wouldn't seem like a gift. I don't really know about her likes and dislikes - she comes and plays games with my kids in the afternoons while I take one or other of the kids to their activities, so she's not really revealing her own interests or likes. She doesn't wear make-up that I can tell, or have fake nails, and seems to wear sensible jeans and a tshirt type clothes. What are the things a girl that age would like as a present - are there any stationary brands for example that are cool for that age? Thank you

When my now 19yr old DGD was 15/16 she just adored Lush Bath Bombs you will get 2 x Bombs for £15 or less all packaged nicely its a treat she wouldn't buy for herself.

Extra money would probably 'seem' like a gift to her, at that age!

Get a nice notebook? I don't think there are any brands for that as such - I've a relative of a similar age and she seems to have all sorts. Just look up something that has nice quality paper and looks nice from the outside.

M and S have a gi-normous box of bath bombs for £15

Bath bombs are lovely but my teenagers don't ever take baths. So I'm slowly making my way through their presents. She may live in a house that doesn't have a bath.

My DDs would love a local coffee shop voucher - for a place that does good hot chocolate/cake.

A t-shirt if you know her style, a nice beanie hat or some gloves or a scarf maybe?

I think a beanie gift set or hot chocolate gift set is the best option.

I would've hated bath bombs at her age.

They are all very different. I have a 16 year old she loves cacti plants 🌵 she also might like some nice chocolates and or some fancy hot chocolate. She doesn’t and wouldn’t wear a beanie, gloves or scarves, we don’t have a bath and she isn’t into nice stationary. She might also like a photo frame, socks or a nice microfibre towel etc.

Nothing says 'I appreciate you' like cold hard lucre or a voucher. Especially when you don't really know what they're into.

Classica · 09/11/2021 12:53

I believe lots of teen girls are into crystals at the moment, but it might seem a bit wacky if given to a teen who isn't into them Grin

I think the coffee shop voucher is a great idea. Do you have Starbucks or Costa locally? Otherwise Paperchase stuff is always good. Or maybe a cool belt for her jeans? Or a nice T shirt/ long sleeve top from Uniqlo? Expensive shampoo/ conditioners? (Body shop).

By stationery, I mean pens! They are always, always useful especially if she's studying.
