Help! 9yr old wants a toy airport

Ds has always enjoyed playing with buses & airplanes

Recently he's started to collect model and the pull back toy planes from airlines which are easy to pick up on eBay/amazon/model shops

For Christmas he's written his list and he's asked for an airport to use with his airplanes

All the ones I can find are aimed at pre school children or made out at paper for model collectors

Can anyone help? It's probably his last year believing in Santa so I would love to find the right thing for him, ideally no more than £50

I think there is a brand called Siku that might do one?

If you’re on Facebook then put a request out on local pages asking if anyone can make something out of ply board. I did this last year to get a custom made dress for one of my dds stuffed animals.

Would some thing like this work?

Like you get the paper one and laminate it?

Smurf123 · 07/11/2021 20:54

What about the waytoplay runway set ? Doesn't have a terminal though

There’s a brand called geminijets but it is quite expensive and I think you would have to but more than one kit but have a look

What about getting the paper set, pasting it to a piece of board cut to the right size and putting several coats of varnish on? Would make it much more robust, bit would keep the grown up feel.
