Football magazine subscription

My 11 year old DS has asked for a football magazine subscription for Christmas. Any recommendations or ideas of how I can get the best deal for something like this? Is Match of The Day magazine any good for children?

Match of the Day is aimed at children and if anything might be a bit young for an 11yo (although of course that depends on the individual child).

DS has read two magazines since he was about that age, 442 and WSC. They’re both really good and I would recommend them 100% but they are aimed at adults so again it’s a question of the individual- would your DS prefer something that might be a bit too young or a bit too old? (By aimed at adults, I just mean they’re written in that style- there’s nothing in there unsuitable for youngsters.)

Some of the bigger clubs also do magazines.

Thank you! He is intelligent but hates reading, so it is a marvel that he's even asked for a magazine to be honest! Perhaps the ones aimed at adults might put him off?? What makes Match better than Match Of The Day?

He likes Man Utd so perhaps they do a magazine, I'll check

My DS is the same age and loves World Soccer magazine, it's a bit more of an international focus and very useful for knowing who to buy on Fifa (so I'm told)
