Dd is almost 18 buy young for her age (has AS and ADHD), she’s not into make up and not that bothered about clothes unless it’s a tshirt with something funny in it. So far I have got her…

A fake oodie
Amazon fire stick
Pokemon switch games (pre order)
A board game

I just want a couple more small things but not sure what? She doesn’t like jewellery (got her some for her birthday which she hasn’t worn), not really bothered about skin care products or smellies although she could do with a few bits.

Any suggestions? Or is what I have bought fine? She will have a stocking with mainly food, socks, bath bomb etc..

American sweets hamper.
Selection of coffees/teas. Whittard do some nice gift boxes.

PJs/dressing gown/new bedding.

Books.

CheshireChat · 06/11/2021 14:15

If she likes pokemon etc, would she like any collectibles from her favourite fandoms?

Or Japanese sweets for example (stealing PP's idea!). TKMAXX had mochi and the like in my area.

Cherryrainbow · 06/11/2021 14:15

Movie night hamper with dvd and snacks
Pokemon funko pop
Cd
Poster

DialSquare · 06/11/2021 14:17

I've just bought this as a stocking filler for my daughter.

Quick and Easy Mug Cakes: Over 75 Yummy Microwave Cakes (2) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0785837175/ref=cmswwrcppapiglttfabcCJ915ZCJW4RJ9V79AV9Y??encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Or maybe some other recipe books?

PanicBuyingSprouts · 06/11/2021 14:17

Costa vouchers are usually impulse with my 2. Does she read or have any hobbies?

LaMariposa · 06/11/2021 14:18

“Ticket” for a day out to your nearest Theme park (or one of her choice)
My dad used to give us tickets for days out to a musical or similar.
A silk pillowcase, apparently keeps hair and skin nice.

WhatonEarth1 · 06/11/2021 14:46

Lava lamp, moon lamp or LED strip lights
Headphones
Power bank for phone
Roller blades
Tie dye kit

AnotherMansCause · 06/11/2021 14:54

If her hair is long enough, comfortable but pretty scrunchies for bed / home etc. Or clips/hair band if it's short.
Fruity flavoured lip balm

Lovemusic33 · 06/11/2021 15:29

Thank you, she's really tricky as she doesn't have many hobbies, she has everything pokemon as she's been in to it since she was 6 😬, doesn't drink hot drinks so not interested in Costa etc..
She reads but says she doesn't want any more books. She has some mobility issues and dyspraxia so roller blades would be a disaster 🤣. I buy American sweets and pop tarts for her stocking and she's getting a experience day for her birthday in February.
She says she doesnt really want anything for Christmas, she rarely asks for anything other than pets 🤣, we have reptiles and she would love another but I say 'no'.

Lava lamp is a possibility as she has mentioned it, she had one when she was little and loved it.

OP does she like music / movies? My niece is 17 and doesn't have many hobbies etc other than gaming but itunes vouchers always go down well.

could a pet compromise be "adopting" / sponsoring a large reptile at a wildlife centre?

PanicBuyingSprouts · 06/11/2021 15:42

How about a Pokémon Plushie?

RAFHercules · 06/11/2021 15:48

Is she into nature at all? RSPB membership or a nature/national geographic magazine subscription.
Knit your own animal kit.
Tickets to a concert/theatre.
Lego flowers
Seeds
Leather (type) bracelet.
Climbing walls session (might be good for her dyspraxia).
Sailing trip.
Cocktail kit.
Houseplants/cacti (mine are obsessed with these)
Posters
Night sky chart.
Lisa angel necklaces.
Nice perfume.
Watercolour paints.
My DS likes pokemon and he is 19! Have you seen the new pokemon go outdoors range on zavvi? Nice hoodies/hats/shirts on there.
Maybe she would like a Christmas shopping day out, just the 2 of you and treat her while you are there?

HollowTalk · 06/11/2021 15:51

Would she be happy with just the things she has? There's another thread where a poster said her son gets overwhelmed at Christmas. Might it be better to give her what you have and then treat her to something later in the year when she needs/wants it?

hiredandsqueak · 06/11/2021 16:20

Dd 18 is similar also ASD. She's having a Garmin watch (fascinated by monitoring her stress levels apparently) a fake Oodie, a heated throw as she is always cold, Switch games (no idea which ones as her siblings buy those, Fatface 12 days of sockmas, these hideous boots and anything she might come up with in the time between now and Christmas.

Lovemusic33 · 06/11/2021 16:42

@PanicBuyingSprouts

How about a Pokémon Plushie?
She has way too many, she sleeps with a huge Pokemon plush 🤣

She sounds very similar to my dd, I will have a look at the garmin watch as she would probably enjoy monitoring stress levels 🤣. I love the boots. Dd loves hideous T-shirt’s.

Does she like Lego? Or is that tricky for her to do?

InFiveMins · 06/11/2021 16:45

Wireless earphones?

ChilliChaos · 06/11/2021 16:53

My dd turned 18 last month, similar sounding to your dd.

Big hit was a boba/bubble tea kit from bubble panda. Was £17.99 for a one off box, and she’s asked for the monthly subscription for Christmas

ChilliChaos · 06/11/2021 16:54

*you drink boba tea cold

misslomi · 06/11/2021 17:04

If she hasn't already got it then Mario Odyssey game for the switch is awesome. Best game I've ever played!

hiredandsqueak · 06/11/2021 17:29

Oh if your dd likes Pokemon dd has a Loungefly pokemon mini backpack and wallet that she treasures, might be worth a look? We got them from Very Neko

PanicBuyingSprouts · 06/11/2021 17:58

My DD is younger but sounds similar.

Does she play Pokémon Go? Would she like a Go-tcha?

TeenMinusTests · 06/11/2021 18:08

Place-marking as my DD is very similar.

DD has asked for a fitbit, replacement earbuds as she lost one, & a couple of DVDs.
