My son loves his pyrography pen, I bought it for his birthday along with some wood slices.

Those Scrapofoil kits (I think that is the name!) where you scrape bits of a blank sheet to reveal a picture underneath. Some of them are quite complicated!! The one in the window of my local toyshop at the moment is an owl, but they do loads of different ones.
