I’m very stuck on what to buy her this Christmas mainly because my eldest has passed a lot of her old toys down to my 3yr old. I basically just haven’t a clue - help please!

Has she got a nice wooden cooker or kitchen and wooden food? Mine LOVED hers. I got it on Amazon. Another hit was a Brio train set. Very well used for quite some time.

What are her interests?

Melissa and Doug bigger sets are on offer at the moment, my daughter loved the ice cream one at that age. There is also a vet set.

Baby Annabel are on offer at TKMaxx.

Playmobil is great stuff and 3 is about right to start a collection.

Aldi have some fab wooden toys, role play stuff, wooden food, dolls house. Does she have a toy kitchen?

Ask her. I did with my 3yo dd last year. She’s the youngest of 3 girls so we already have everything she could need. She was very into peppa pig last year, obsessed so I got a bulk lot off ebay. I also took her to Smyths and asked her what she wanted. In the past Ive sold old things and bought new versions for her. Hand me downs are great, but it’s definitely nice for them to get something new just for them. Other things I got last year were cheap Princess dolls from clearance bins, we had loads but I got them for 99p each, bath toys, colouring books etc…

My 3yo is the youngest of three so I was struggling with what to buy her this year. So we had a chat about Christmas and she told me she wanted a “baby piano” so that was quite an easy one as a keyboard is something we didn’t have.

Then the other week we found ourselves in the toy section of a department store and she showed me lots of things she’d like so I’m sorted now! Along with the keyboard, she’s getting an interactive pet toy (Hope the rainbow husky which is reduced on Amazon at the mo!), a big parrot puppet that she fell in love with, a bee costume and washimals set. I will also get some books for her.

Just to add, things that she loves playing with at the mo at her little shop and play food, duplo, Playmobil horses set and anything to do with drawing and painting. A big hot from her birthday was this hopscotch rug.
