i was wondering how i was going to keep ds 17 months from pulling it down but everytime he sees it he clings to me for dear life!!

DS2 was scared of the idea of having one. He said "Kwiss tee away!" complete with hand outstretched. He's 23mo. At one point, he wanted me to get the trees in the garden to vanish as well...

Now we have one and he is fascinated by it. He goes up to it and says, "Hello" in a squeaky voice and giggles.

Kinda handy that they're not too boisterous around them, I think!

make the most of it nappyaddict. Mine are always desperate to touch them. But they always like hugging trees in the woods too.

There was a dancing xmas tree (about 6ft tall) in town the other day as part of town celebrations and one little boy (about 5yrs) just wouldn't stop screaming at it. His dopey mum was trying to drag him past but he was having none of it. His dad had to walk back and carry him past. My two thought it was great and wanted it to follow them home!

i don't know if my dd is scared of the tree as we haven't brought it in yet. But she was terrified of Father Christmas today. Screamed like mad when she went to see him in the grotto at the local church bazaar. Oh dear. I just felt like such a horrible mother.

i think it's quite common for children to be scared of santa. i wouldn't get on the bus onceand ran off down the high street cos the driver looked like santa!
