Looking for family stockings

As in the actual stockings, not what to put in, though all ideas are welcome obviously!

I am looking for three stockings for me, DH and baby DS. It's our first Christmas so I'd like to get stockings and then keep them for years to come so need to be reasonable quality to last for years but not super expensive

Personalised would be nice but not an absolute requirement as I've seen you plain ones with name tags on which could work. Medium sized but again open to suggestions.

Next have some initial ones which look reasonable for the price. Two of us have the same initial.

Thank you will see if I can get to B&M

For initials are you and DH own initial or "M" and "D"?

I suppose it's personal preference but seems less obvious when it's an initial

The B&M ones look slightly small

And the Next ones have one review saying they are poor quality!

We have the B&M ones... they look plenty big enough. A d i have a tendency to overdo stockings!

Yogaandcocoa · 31/10/2021 13:04

I think it said 42cm high

Are they good quality?

I'll see if I can have a look at them in store

Haven't tested them yet... but they look nice, quite thick and stitching looks secure.

Bought them to replace the Wilkos ones that lasted 6 years, which were a lot thinner.

We had a family set made and personalised by the Christmas stocking company, unfortunately I think they are out of business now. We had 'mummy' & 'daddy' put on ours and the kids proper names on theirs.
It might be worth considering if you are having anymore kids?! We got our set when dd came along (baby 2) so we had a matching set of 4. Ds just had his own for the first 2 years.

We have some B&M ones from a couple of years ago that have character faces of elf, snowman, reindeer and Santa on them; they are a decent size and great quality and weren’t too expensive.

@IamChipmunk In an ideal world I would like another child but I would like to make the most of our first Christmas together and will buy more stockings if we are blessed with more children.
