Hi my mum is so difficult to buy for.

I bought her a kindle 2 years ago. It's still in good condition. She's uses it everyday. I thought about getting her a case with a picture on it but I can't find any. Do they even do them?

It has a build in light. So I can't get her one. I could get her an Amazon voucher to buy more books but is that a bit boring?

I can't think of what to buy her so I thought something kindle related would be good.

Any ideas please? Thanks x

I have a book style cover from klevercase. They do personalised ones now too. I will say, as good as it looks, it’s not a patch on the leather case I got from Amazon with my kindle for performance. klevercase.com/

What about an audible subscription if her kindle version supports that function?

I have a kindle cover from amazon. It has a flower pattern on it

You can buy specific books for her kindle rather than a gift voucher. They send a redemption code with a link. You can set the date it will be sent so it appears on eg 25/12.

DH has a kind of clip that holds the kindle and attaches to the side of the bed. Might that be an option?

I love my kindle, and book vouchers are usually my favourite gift - along with snacks to read them with!

Maybe you could do a readers comfort bundle? Blanket, hot water bottle, nice nibbles and a drink, with the prized voucher placed delicately on top Grin

Dh got me a kindle for Christmas a few years ago and I always ask him for a voucher for Christmas since. Being able to just download a book without having to pay for it yourself is great. So if it were me I'd get the voucher.

Now that's a perfect idea!

I find it absolutely amazing that Amazon don’t offer the chance to buy someone a specific book on Kindle (or Audible) and print out a voucher for it, or send it on an email or ecard. They’d certainly be on my Christmas list. I’ve not missed anything, you can’t do that can you?

Raera · 30/10/2021 14:50

My DD and I have similar reading tastes, so she sends me a voucher and adds a note with ideas of books I might like. Yes, a voucher, but feels more personal

reluctantbrit · 30/10/2021 16:26

I would also go for a comfort reading bundle. I am kind of glued to my kindle and while vouchers are nice I agree, they are a bit boring.

I love a nice blanket, you can get blankets made with photos, maybe with covers from her favourite books?

Mug, tea/coffee/hot chocolate, sweets and biscuits?

Carboncheque · 30/10/2021 17:10

You can give any kindle book as a gift MMAMPWGHAP

Go to any book and under the Buy Now option is a Buy For Others box.

As a kindle lover I would love the gift voucher to be fair. I feel guilty about buying too many books and people generally don’t like to buy vouchers but I’d love one.

RevolvingPivot · 30/10/2021 18:55

Hi thank you all.

She's not into blankets or tea and coffee as gifts. I'd like that and I'm late 30s 😆

Do I just order a kindle Amazon Voucher on Amazon?

She's very picky so might think it's a bit dull and I think she reads lots of free books but I can't think what else to get.

Anyone seen a case that can have a photo of my kids?
