OK guys what are your signs you are obsessed? For me it's

  1. Settling down with my coffee and watching those YouTube xmas shopping hauls/gift guides from about September onwards, and scrolling mumsnet christmas posts.
  1. My OH has fantasy football I have fantasy shopping lol I make up a budget ie £100 and a person to buy for e.g 16 year old goth girl or 13 year old sports kid and then look what I'd get them. Fun times.

I have two 1m wide wardrobes with 8 drawers. 5 are full of Christmas decorations, and I'm still shopping for more.

I have looked at Christmas decorations on every single online retailer I can think of. I'm still trying to work out if I've forgotten anywhere. When you are looking on Halfords website for Christmas decorations you probably safe to say you have a problem.

I am all done with my shopping already this year. I have wrapped most of my presents.

I have a list of shops I must visit in October/November. I have to tick off the whole list, just so I know I've not missed anything good.

Putting up Christmas decorations takes two days. I have more than one tree. I start planning Christmas tree schemes in October. I am currently trying to work out what decorations I need to make this year.

I have a schedule for planning Christmas which starts in August.

I have my Christmas cards, and plan to write them in the next two weeks. Need to buy stamps...

There are 4 packs of mince pies in the cupboard for eating now. I have bottles of coke stashed under the bed for Christmas.

I have one of those big metal shelving unit things in our "spare room" (which dp fondly calls the landfill room- we've been in the house 5 years and it's still very much full of boxes) It's about 2 metres high and 1 wide and it's my Christmas decoration shelving. My Christmas food cupboard takes up the bottom of an old sideboard with my present stash on the top.
I don't have many eBay searches saved, but two are vintage Christmas baubles and Pifco Christmas lights. 🌲

I’ve done most of my Christmas shopping (only a couple of things left to get/organise!) and next I need to sort out all my various boxes of cards, decorations, etc. that are variously stashed about the place…every year in January I try to pack and label things so they are all efficiently stored, and every year by November I have no idea what is where…

@lemonyfox it's called the Holiday Grand Plan on the organised Christmas website. There is also a HHP (Holiday Housework's Plan?) which is similar but done on a slightly different focus. HGP is done by rooms, while HHP is more by functions (I think). They also have a 6 week countdown, just started, which aims to be finished by 1st December. I'm rubbish at posting links but Organised Christmas ( possibly .com) in a google search will find it.

I have to make rules for myself to follow to stop me doing Christmas too early. I've banned myself from Christmas songs till 1st November (tomorrow yayy) and also banned myself from baileys until the middle of November when I'm a celebrity starts on the TV. Not a moment before or else I'd be doing both by the start of October.

And for anyone who does go looking, and then faints at the a,punt to be done in these plans, I look on it as trying to be organised about the things I would do anyway for Christmas and winter prep, and trying to do some deep cleaning, but I also don't feel guilty about ignoring lots of items, either because I am too busy or don't have that room or something is not a priority. If I get half the items ticked off any year, I am happy.

And if I could actually spell, I'd be doing great....
