I'm a sucker for an indoor fairy light. Them and candles say cosy Christmas to me.
Has anyone got any creative ideas?
Thank you!

Last year I weaved some wire fairy lights through some garlands and put them on some of our window ledges, which looked really nice. I also weaved some through our bannister which just made the whole house feel so much more festive.

I used to do clusters of them in the mantle - sort of intertwined with a leafy decoration thing.
I also sometimes put them in a glass jar with pine cones

(As well as in the windows etc)

I have extra long lights and have wound round curtain poles and down sides

Also along banisters, through some twisted willow in a large floor standing vase

Mostly though I use outdoors and light up various trees and shrubs

I have a bare wall so may try the fairy light Christmas tree this year. I hang a branch above our dining table each Christmas - it looks beautiful decorated with baubles, greenery and fairy lights. I might hang some glass jars with real candles for our meal this time.

I love your branch @waltzingparrot, it looks beautiful

We did a little table now known as The Christmas Table and shoved the ddog beds underneath.
Ddogs assumed new positions!!

across sideboards/units with some festive decorations/bowl of baubles etc. around windows-around the frames

I like to get the small real trees from b and m and just put lights on them in the kitchen and hallway rather than just have the lights

@waltzingparrot
Loving the christmas tree wall thing! How do you make that??

waltzingparrot · 25/10/2021 21:46

@Hairwizard Ah, I've only got the picture from Pinterest, no instructions Grin.

I presume it's green tinsel or garland zig-zagged up the wall using command hooks to fix and then zig zag the fairy lights down from top to bottom. I have seen them done with added baubles and Dec's too. Trial and error I think.

I like the new fashion of 'cluster' lights on a tree. So they're not evenly dangled around the tree branches but look more grouped together.

FlatteredFool · 25/10/2021 22:02

I love that branch!

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 25/10/2021 22:10

I saw someone on here with a massive branch she had found with fairy lights all over it. I think it was either hung from ceiling or bucket of rocks?
I have beams, it took me hours but I put lights up and down ever beam- Was a thing of beauty. Wrap around mirrors for double the effect.
