Anyway - this is what would be in my dream stocking (dream but still realistic. I'd like to find a Rolex and some Cartier on there but I'm keeping it real)

Oh I've never had anyone make me a stocking as an adult, and I think I will do my own this year - it counts as self care. I don't usualy every buy my self things so I'm hitting a blank. Stealing other's ideas here:

Do it! I love stockings and my Mum stopped doing mine when I was 18. Last year, I was making new stockings for the children and thought sod it, I'll make my own too. 40 isn't too old. I very loudly explained that I would be putting it up on the 24th and hoped FC was listening. I didn't actually think DH would do anything but he filled it with small, thoughtful gifts (not expensive, genuinely stuff like a gingerbread man and a decent biro, things I really like). It was one of my best bits of Christmas. The joy of FC having visited feels no different as a washed-up middle-aged woman.

A chocolate orange like I had when I was a child and the Neapolitan chocolates with the pretty Swiss wrappers.

They were lovely.

Ideally £1million 😂

But I'd be happy with a bag of haribo and some festive socks 😁

Ooh I’d love a stocking for me!

A nice creamy fudge
Gloves that actually keep your hands warm without you looking like a premier league goalkeeper

Some sort of quiz game or book

I know exactly what will be in mine, as I do all the shopping. It will definitely include fudge, Toberlone, a new notebook, some new playing cards, Badedas, and a rather lovely bottle of sherry.

A Christmas candle from Diptyque, Neom or Jo Malone (I remember when the Jo M ones were fantastic, now they are nice but don't fill the house like they used to)

Reckon that would be £50 though so might be too much for a stocking. Makes me want to make myself one though!
