Gifts for a nearly 2 year old who loves letters and numbers

Hello,

My son loves numbers and letters. If we go for a walk we stop at every car to look at the license plate or stop at bins. He is advanced (first kid so who's knows) and knows the alphabet and numbers up to 20. I am wondering if anyone knows of any fun letter or number based gifts I could buy him for Christmas? Or any toddler 'computer' type thing that he could explore? He will have just turned two by Christmas.

@SmallWaistFatFace there isn’t an official definition, so who knows perhaps there is more cross over when currently thought, maybe it is a natural ability to just ‘get’ symbols in a way that most children don’t.

Your son doesn’t sound like he has any developmental delays by what you’ve said.

It’s a wonderful thing to have though, so it seems anyway! My DS just loved letters and numbers so much. Almost like they were his friends. He’d get such joy out of just reading things out, or spelling or arranging them. Like he’d cracked a code, which I guess is what it is. It was pretty remarkable he’d read out all the labels in a shop and the assistant would be ‘what’?! Smile

Mine has grown out of it now and likes other things like music.

A similar book train to this was really popular with one of my godsons and his younger brother from 2 to about 7.
They made up games, a d quizzed one another, made words with the bioks, progressed to anagrams etc.
I would definitely recommend it.
