OP posts:
mmgirish · 16/10/2021 21:39

A drone and minecraft Lego.

Wombatstew · 16/10/2021 21:53

Ticket to ride Europe board game, lego, nerf targets, gravitrax marble run. Exploding kittens game. Guinness book of world records. Top trumps. New Tom Gates book.

Pucarbuile · 16/10/2021 21:58

As of this morning's request, a banjo 🤕

ohdeerdolly · 16/10/2021 22:01

Football shirt.
Dressing gown.
Weapons.
MP3 music player.
Possibly a stadium tour or gig tickets. Some sort of event gift anyway.
Robux.
Crafting bits.

ElfDragon · 16/10/2021 22:02

Lego
Nintendo stuff (games, merchandise)
A ukulele
Books

elQuintoConyo · 16/10/2021 22:03

He'll be 10 in December. So, a combination of:

Metal detector
Small cybershot camera
Binoculars + bird book
Bike (will be second hand)
Books
Tronimoes (like dominos but triangular!)
Then: slippers, fuzzy onesie, stocking bits.

Last year he got PS4 with some games and headphones, and he can play on my Kindle, so no need for anything electrical and monstrously expensive this year.

He got Exploding Kittens last year, I think it's been played with twice. Virus has been much more popular and he has a monsters/Halloween extension pack, which is cool.

European Ticket to Ride sounds cool! I shall Google...

elQuintoConyo · 16/10/2021 22:05

Ukeleles and banjos 👌

Oh, he's asked for a keyboard, so may get one off his GD, get his Pet Shop Boys groove on!

Steelesauce · 16/10/2021 22:05

Switch lite
Lego
Oodie
Stocking bits

frogsbreath · 16/10/2021 22:18

Xbox s (if that's the cheaper new one)

A plastic axe throwing game
Dressing gown
Nat geo rock and fossil kit
Roblox gift card

So far lol

Wombatstew · 16/10/2021 22:24

@elQuintoConyo virus has very good reviews. I might swap it out for exploding kittens since I think it’s similar to uno which is not my favourite game. Another good card game we got recently was Taco, cat, goat, cheese, pizza. Lots of laughs playing this!

elQuintoConyo · 16/10/2021 22:32

He got Rummikub the year before and it's very good, we get it out most weekends. And Carcassonne. Then finish up games night with good old fashioned Snakes and Ladders and lots of shouting Grin

PinPon · 16/10/2021 22:37

Turing tumble: store-uk.turingtumble.com/

It’s tricky when they move on from Lego

BlueShirtGirl · 16/10/2021 23:06

Dungeons and dragons game
Fake oodie
Sloth T-shirt
David walliams book
Fun shaped chocolates
Stocking bits

fallhappy1 · 17/10/2021 00:51

DC (who are 10 and 9) haven't really asked for much this year 🤔 so it's quite difficult and I'm a bit stumbed.

10 year old:
Fifa 22
Premier league football
£50 ps gift card.
Some strip lights for his room
Thinking of getting him some airpods for his phone if he doesn't ask for anything else.

9 year old.
A selection of fidget toys.
£50 XBox gift card.
Candy floss maker
Art supplies

I've got them both some oodies (not the actual brand), lava lamps, branded tracksuits.

Hoping they'll come up with a more extensive list for me!

elQuintoConyo · 17/10/2021 08:20

Oh yes, DS is moving into a bigger bedroom so we're looking at some funky remote control lights that change colour etc, Aldi had a tall lamp like this recently. Good suggestions for family who ask what DS wants.

And I'm making art for his wall.

JustJoinedRightNow · 17/10/2021 09:59

My 10yo DS is getting a marvel avengers lego set, that’s the main thing he’s asked for.

I’ve also got some t shirts, a hoodie and a stand for his gaming headphones. Going to also get some super soakers (water pistols) for him and his brother (Christmas is summer here in Australia) and then some robux gift vouchers.

Filterphobia · 17/10/2021 10:14

My son will be 9 at Christmas, he turns 10 in Feb. He is getting the following:

Football kit
Fake oodie (LFC one)
Metal detector
Record player and a couple of vinyls
Architech build your own smart house
Spy vault and door buzzer kit
Plus stocking fillers

Shufflebumnessie · 17/10/2021 11:37

Lego - Harry Potter, Ninjago and Minecraft.
Harry Potter duvet cover and Hedwig cushion.
52 Storey Treehouse book.
Deadly 60 book.
A Novelmore playmobil set.

TreaslakeandBack · 17/10/2021 11:44

Lego - the big set he’s asked for is a space one from Santa.
Also stranger things as a family build.
Also a couple of smaller HP sets.
Gaming chair (FB marketplace)
Kidswatch phone/ tracker/ Fitbit thing from grandparents
Stranger things t shirt
Tom Gates book and Guinness book of records
Sonic screwdriver

ILoveMyMonkey · 17/10/2021 11:50

A Christmas Lego set (then it can go with the Christmas decorations and get it out every year as he only enjoys building Lego not actually playing with it).
A Harry Potter sweatshirt.
Pjs
The new Christmasaurus book.
An iPad, maybe a set of headphones to go with it.
A game - yet to be chosen.

His birthday is November so will be getting football training equipment, fifa 22, new football shirt, some football books and a premiere league match card (with his own face on) and the ‘sum game’ like banangrams but you make calculations.

9 year olds are tricky!

IggyAce · 17/10/2021 16:41

Lego
New headset
Next hooded poncho
David Walliams book
Favourite sweets

MardyNun · 17/10/2021 18:09

My ds will turn 9 after Xmas and hasn’t asked for anything and has EVERYTHING so so far on my list I have

  • VR thing, think it’s called Occulus or something
  • a watch that looks like it’s for a grown up man but kid size if that makes sense
  • a toasting marshmallow set
  • fake oodie from next
  • Audi merch (he’s obsessed with audis even though we don’t know a single person with one 🤣)
  • wwe toys
  • switch voucher
  • a little money box that looks like a cash machine
  • a Disney teddy
  • unspeakable merch

It’s hard because he has so much already. He’s going to his dads for Christmas Day this year then will have boxing Day at home with my family so he gets loads. He’ll have £100 off my grandad as well but I’ve opened a bank account and will put it in there instead

Doughnuts68 · 21/10/2021 23:53
