Advent calendar for teen….not food or beauty related

DD’s are 15 and 17, both have ASD, neither like make up, perfume etc.., they don’t want a chocolate calendar as their dad will be getting them one. I have bought myself the naked marshmallow calendar so would like to buy them something equally as nice, possibly a fidget toy calendar for dd15 but the reviews don’t look that great 😬. Any other ideas?

There are escape room advent calendars which look pretty good & something different. I've bought one for my teen this year.

We had the Gibson jigsaw advent one last year and we’re very happy with it , we glued all the jigsaws and hung them in the home office . We will definitely be getting this years when it comes out this month .

Thank you so much for this thread! I've previously bought my DD a beauty calendar but for various reasons food and beauty are out this year but she has got interested in crystals and a crystal advent calendar is perfect and I would never have thought of it!

I have a fillable advent calendar and in the last couple of years I have got a mini jigsaw puzzle and split the pieces across the calendar (together with a sweet) for teen DS. He doesn't get the picture until the 24th so has to work out what it could be.

@traumatisednoodle

I have a 15yo Dd I looked at this one for her (not ASC, at least not diagnosed)
Definitely Don’t buy this. I got DD one and it’s a con.

Has anybody bought a Paperchase one before? Is it worth it?

DD is 14 and loves stationery but actual stationery she can use rather than novelty items which aren't fit for purpose.

UnfinishedBunting · 17/10/2021 15:06

I haven't had the Paperchase advent calendar before I'm afraid. It's £40, but they say there's £85 worth of items inside. And then you can probably also get 20% off.

UnfinishedBunting · 17/10/2021 15:06

Actually, I think there's a £5 Paperchase voucher inside it too.

ShowOfHands · 17/10/2021 15:57

Do you know how you would go about getting 20% off? I've never really understood offer codes. I Google, try to use them and they're always invalid.
