is there a toy computer learning product - like vtech you would reccomend for dd age 4....

went to toys are us today and the ones i tried didnt say the letters to the words like dd is learning them at school

she is desperate for one of these kind of toys

My ds has "my first laptop" from Vtech and loves it

How about this dc's had a more basic version simed at up to 5 btu this seems to incorporatte a bit mroe. Also have a Vtech Challenger Laptop which would just about be suitable from this age but tbh it has a lot of actvities which we have never really got into and the screen is small.

LIZS- saw the basic version of that one in toys r us at it was the best one for the sounding letters. so that one may be an option thanks

The VTech toys are good, but does it have to be a toy? Starfall.com may be the sort of thing you want - but it's an internet site, using Flash, so would need a 'real' computer.
