Are Balsam Hill trees really worth the price?

I'm looking for recommendations for awesome Christmas trees - with led lights - that I can order to be shipped to my sister in Australia. Balsam Hill have an Aus branch but I'm wondering if they are worth the pricey cost?

Thanks Christmas elves 😊

It's probably down to personal taste. But I love my balsam tree. I have had it now for 4 years and it looks new still. It gives me great joy every year when I put it up.

So for me definitely worth the price tag.

Why are you sending your sister a tree?
What does she usually put up?

They are the sorts of trees you see on Christmas movies-they look stunning! You are a very generous sister.

@Dogsandbabies which style of tree did you purchase btw?

Did you get lit or unlit?

I got a lit Balsam last Xmas. Very happy with it.

Dogsandbabies · 13/10/2021 01:52

I got the 7' Swiss mountain pine. I opted for lit because I hated the tangled lights ritual every year 😂

I'm in Aus and in the market for a new tree. I was seriously considering a Balsam Hill one, but then I saw that they get tons of complaints about not looking like they do in the photos, and customer service if they're not working. So for such a lot of money, I've decided against. Instead, I'm tossing up the cheaper ones on Target.com.au and Temple and Webster. Or try Holly and Ivy.

My friend has a lit one and it's absolutely stunning I'm tempted x

@FlorisApple have heard that Temple and Webster can be poor in terms of costumer service.
Where did you see the reviews for Basam ?

I have 2 pre lit Balsam hill trees , ones a 7’ Fraser fir and the other is a 4’ table tree both are beautiful . You do need to take the time originally to fluff the branches , there are videos on line of how to do it properly , if you don’t take the time to do that then the tree will not look as good as the pictures .

Tinkles78 · 13/10/2021 10:29

We got one a couple of years ago and I've been very happy with it! Looks very real

SeasonFinale · 13/10/2021 10:36

I have one and wish I had gone for a taller one now but it is beautiful and I love it and it was worth every penny. People are always surprised when they find out it is real. It is a lit one and I bought in in the sale.

On Product Review, but also on Facebook mums groups here that I'm on; the question has been coming up a lot lately. I've ordered a few things from T&W, and never had a problem, but I think they are like Amazon and have lots of separate sellers, so you could always get unlucky.
