does he have an alexa? they're popular, and so are yotos if you wanted something without access to the internet link

Nintendo switch this year, put him off last year but this year it’s a definite. He also wants a remote control Lamborghini

We have a 7 year old (ohs son) and 8 year old (mine) same school year. Their main presents are going to be the mario lego sets - mario starter for one, luigi for the other and they'll have some extension sets between them too.

There's several medium presents.

In terms of stocking fillers they'll include

Dvd (from the 2 disney/pixar dvds for £10 offers now on at amazon and hmv etc)

Then the stocking - hot wheels. Candy floss bucket. Little tubs of slime and I will get other pound shop bits and pieces (I leave that until last as I like that) chocolate coins.

Mine are 6 and 8, main presents will be Lego and a keyboard for one, and a Nintendo for the other.

And, no doubt, he'll ask for a computer game but I'm not falling for buying anything on that front till much closer to the time.

I am struggling on my 8 year old. He wants computer games so probably that. Definitely some books. Maybe a kindle but that's one he won't be inspired by but will use a lot. I think he would like a switch but it's a bit more expensive than my budget.

Stocking will probably be bath bombs, socks, sweets, practical jokes.

Mine is an (emotionally youngish) 7 who keeps changing his mind about what he wants every five minutes!

Haven't settled on a big present so far. He oscillates between Heelies, a new scooter, a guitar, a train set and about 8 other things...

These threads are awful! it makes it looks like kids get so much! Can I put in here that mine get nowhere near all this and are fine, just to balance out abit. Some here are not wild but some are way way more than wed be giving. Im sure mumsnet is a different world in terms of presents sometimes.
