Bit stuck this year - only thing I have on list is a hoodie (her request) and a wax diffuser (again her request). TIA

Anime stuff, clothes/shoes, Crystal jewellery, long water bottle, books, one of those posters you scratch things you done/seen off, perfume.

Make up

Mine wants:

A ukulele
A rock tumbler for polishing stones
A drawing board for doing larger paintings
A phone upgrade
A harp (not happening!)

She won’t get all that, but they are things she is interested in and would like

My DD will be thirteen and a half at Christmas. She has mentioned the following items over the last couple of months

New phone
Pyjamas
Pandora ring
Northface jacket
Doc Martens Shoes
Nice shampoo /conditioner set
Voucher
Money
Lego

Great, thank you. She doesn't have any real specific interests at the moment (except bloody Tik Tok) so hard to find good gifts.

Following. A rock tumbler is such a good idea!

So far I have a leather satchel and funko pops. Also a few enamel pins. She’ll want lots of Percy pigs.

Doc Martin's or Vans
Clothes from EMP
Canvasses and paint
Decent art pens
Anime stuff

valerianroot · 05/10/2021 10:58

Funko Pops are a great idea although I'm still waiting for some to be delivered that I ordered for her birthday back in August as they've been out of stock. Anime is actually a great idea for DS as he's just got really into it.

Ramen or bubble tea kit? They seem to be the food trends amongst DD's friends at the moment!

valerianroot · 05/10/2021 11:44

Bubble Tea is a great one. Thank you

Stacker jewellery box
Bat detector

(These are suggestions posted by another Mumsnetter on a similar thread a few years ago which I have stolen, so I can't take the credit!)

Experiences, my 14 year old drove a Mercedes at Mercedes World. She asks for a different experience each year now.

Sweetener12 · 05/10/2021 11:52

Stuff related to her favorite movies/books. My niece is very into Harry Potter and the whole Fantastic Beasts series and if you DD happens to be a Potterhead, too, then it makes things 100x times easier!
If she's crafty then maybe some arts&crafts stuff. You can even check out TikTok latests crafty trends Grin
If she's into making short videos then maybe something that could help her develop her knowledge in that direction- automatic video editors like Clipify or just relatively useful stuff like a phone ring light.
Selfcare products or gift card to accessories stores.

Areyouhappy · 05/10/2021 11:54

Also, we bought my dd a proper adult small suitcase for flying for her 14th birthday; it's about the time they start going on school trips & exchange trips.

valerianroot · 05/10/2021 15:22

Great ideas. Thanks all.
